1. Took apart old flatpack furniture - recycled every part at local recycling centre - none went to landfill.

4. Make your own fat balls for the garden birds. Keep putting food out for the birds so they don't waste energy coming to your garden.

5. Buy a wormery to decompose veg peelings and kitchen waste, plus also makes compost and liquid feed.

6. Buy energy saving switch off adapter plugs to turn off TVs that go to standby. Gave them to my older relatives as well to save electricity.

7. Instead of running the cold water to chill it for drinks place a drinks container in the fridge so it is always cold.
